About Us

Cookyn Inc is about fostering interactions amongst people, be it in a social group or a corporate department. More than just a cooking school, we understand that cooking is just part of the fun of working together to create memories that will last for a long time. To date, we have hosted numerous private Cookyn parties and corporate groups to great success. In May 2011, we expanded our operations into Gardenhub, the newest horticulture and gardening hub in Singapore. To date, our edible garden is home to more than 30 types of edible herbs and spices and we hope to be fully sustainable in our use of herbs in the coming years. In addition, we hope to educate the public on domestic farming, and using the herbs that you have grown in your own kitchen. We want the Cookyn experience to go beyond the kitchen and to start a movement of growing and using greens from your garden and transforming them into simple yet amazingly delicious meals.

Summary:
Looking for a fun activity to challenge your team and spur them to work together more closely? The Kitchen Challenge is what you are looking for.

Your team will be broken up into smaller groups and assigned to different stations to prepare a 3-course gourmet meal together. Along the way, learn about the herbs and vegetables which you can grow in your own gardens and use in your kitchens. Do expect the kitchen to throw them challenges like a secret ingredient or an unknown herb from our gardens. Will your team pass the Kitchen Challenge and use their individual skill sets to bring something to the table? Celebrate your victory by sitting down together for a glorious meal that embodies the result of your hard work and team spirit! Recommended for group sizes of 20 and above.

Summary:
Our corporate Cookyn parties are just what you need to reward your staff and make them feel special. Intimate and meaningful, this event will foster closer bonds between team mates and is a feel-good programme for all staff. Your team works together to complete tasks in order to prepare a meal together. Throughout the Cookyn party, there will be opportunities for them to have fun, take a tour of our eco-kitchens and herb gardens, and get to know each other better and to express their feelings and gratitude to one another. At the end of the Cookyn party, everyone sits down to a sumptuous meal prepared by themselves. Recommended for group sizes of 12 - 20 pax.

Along the way, also learn about growing your own greens, pick up ideas on how to use them in your cooking and how to transform your kitchen with sustainable eco-green tips. At the end of the Cookyn party, everyone sits down to a sumptuous meal prepared by their very own hands. Recommended for group sizes of 10 - 20 pax.

"The 30 members from my Group thoroughly enjoyed themselves from beginning till end.

We learnt so much in that short period of time. It pleased me to see that my staff was totally oblivious to who their bosses were and totally immersed themselves into the joy of cooking on that day – rank did not matter. The idea of cooking for a team outing didn't appeal as much at first, but the second we stepped into what Mervyn and Amanda very fondly call a 'Cooking Party' got the all of us excited. Centrally located along Margret Drive, Cookyn Inc is located at 60 Jalan Penjara, Garden Hub, Block O, Singapore 149375.

As you are traveling along Margaret Drive, look out for the Queenstown Public Library and you will see Garden Hub just to the back of it.

We are at Block O, the first built up facility you'll see on your right as you enter Garden Hub.
